STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

At the State Championships the Rock Wrestlers scored 135 points overall in the 2005 State Championships! And won its first Division 5 team state title!!! Along with the title, the team had eleven individual State Champions and five Runner-Ups. There were four that placed third, two placed fourth and two took fifth place titles.  The Rock girls also won the Women’s Division 6 title.  Everyone on the team wrestled hard, put forth a tremendous effort, showed talent, technique and determination.  Each and every wrestler gave it their best- -an accomplishment they can all treasure.

The Central Texas teams helped to make the 2005 State Tournament a tremendous success.  A special thank you to all the Rock Volunteers who gave their time and energies for the benefit of all the Texas USA Wrestlers. The Rock wrestling club thanks each and every one of you for not only a great weekend, but also for a  wonderful season!

Congratulations Landon Dockery for winning National Honors  and the  State Divisional Title

The only thing left for Landon Dockery to win is the Lotto! He has worked extra hard this year and in addition to having an undefeated season he received recognition at the State Tournament for winning not one, but two prestigious awards!!! Landon was the Champion at all five national events and received The National Honor for such a challenging feat. He also was awarded the State Divisional Honors title which is bestowed upon only one person in the division. The wrestler who has the most points in their division receives this honor!  Landon is certainly deserving. Congratulations Landon from all the rock wrestlers – we are very proud of you!
